Our guiding principles

Our philosophy and values

As the service point for the planning and implementation of clinical trials, the KKS is very conscious of its responsibility for ensuring and improving the quality of clinical trials located in Graz. Our highest priority is therefore to improve the quality of patient-oriented clinical research in the academic environment by implementing the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards of the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH). Moreover, by establishing efficient, qualified and internationally competitive structures for the planning, coordination and implementation of clinical trials, we aim to achieve a sustainable improvement in quality. Improving the quality of investigator-initiated trials results in reliable trial data, which, in turn, leads to evidence-based medicine and, in the best case, to high-quality publications. At the same time, the appeal of contractual research is increased, if well-trained investigators and study nurses with experience in performing clinical trials are available at the location.

Our strengths

  • We react flexibly to our customers’ wishes.
  • All our staff play their part in achieving our quality targets.
  • Our efficiency is reflected by our ability to deliver on schedule and the resulting customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous further training of our staff and good communication within the team ensures that we always keep abreast of current scientific knowledge.
  • Reliability is a high priority for us.
  • We also have high quality standards in our everyday activities.
