Research Management at the Medical University of Graz is the main point of contact at the university for scientists and industrial and social cooperation partners. It provides services regarding research and the accompaniment of projects from the initial idea to the exploitation of research findings. The organizational unit also serves as an interface to national and international funding agencies, companies and other research institutions. It is composed of four departments:
This department provides Med Uni Graz researchers with information and services in the following areas:
The researchers at the Medical University of Graz conduct high-level research. These achievements are documented in the Med Uni Graz research information system. The Research Documentation and Evaluation team takes care of operating, maintaining and enhancing the system as well as validating and updating the data entered into the portal. This data is then referenced for university reporting (e.g., intellectual capital report, performance agreement) and the creation of bibliometric assessments and evaluations—including for internal controlling by the Rectorate.
The Coordination Center for Clinical Trials (KKS) is a service center for clinical trials. Its goal is to guarantee and continuously improve the quality of patient-oriented clinical research in an academic environment by applying the current international standards (Good Clinical Practice according to the ICH guidelines).
The International Office provides support in all matters related to incoming and outgoing mobility. Its Welcome Center advises Med Uni Graz students and staff as well as international guests concerning their stays abroad or in Graz. This includes support with entry and residency formalities, campus life and social contact.
