Johannes HAYBÄCK from the Medical University of Graz has an overview of the relevant pre-existing data of the scientific partners. Assoc. Prof. Haybaeck, MD PhD is Professor of Pathology. He is board certified Pathologist, Neuropathologist as well as Molecular Biologist working at the Institute of Pathology, Medical University of Graz (MUG), Austria. He received his first degree in medicine from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He has been trained at several Universities like the University of Zürich, Innsbruck, Salzburg and in several institutes of Pathology and Neuropathology. From 2005-2010 he worked at the Institute of Neuropathology, University Hospital Zurich. His PhD degree he received from the Mathematical and Natural Science Faculty of the University of Zurich. Since 2010 he leads his own research group and works as consultant for Pathology and Neuropathology and holds an Associate Professor of Pathology position at the Institute of Pathology, MUG where since 2011 he was Vice Chair and since 2014 he is Interim-Chair of the Department of Neuropathology. He is elected Coordinator for Cancer Research, Education and Training of the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) Graz. His main research interests are the identification of novel predictive and prognostic oncological biomarkers and the understanding of the molecular mechanisms driving carcinogenesis and protein aggregation.
