Dagmar KRATKY is a molecular biologist and biochemist with extensive research experience in the regulatory mechanisms of fatty acid biosynthesis and the functional role of lipolytic enzymes in adipose tissue. Presently, her research focuses on lipid metabolism and lipotoxicity in macrophages. She examines the differences in macrophage function and foam cell formation with special emphasis on atherogenesis, using various mouse models.
