Ass.-Arzt Armin Zebisch

Armin ZEBISCH is a clinical hematologist whose research focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of myeloid malignancies, such as acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. In more detail, he focuses on the role of deregulated signal transduction modules within the malignant transformation of hematopoietic cells and aims to identify novel therapeutic targets, which ultimately result in the development of more effective leukemia therapies. His group uses a broad range of in-vitro and murine in-vivo models and has access to a large collection of primary leukemia specimens. Currently, he is studying the role of RAF kinase inhibitor protein, a physiologic inhibitor of the RAS-MAPK/ERK and Nf-kappa-B pathways.
