European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers

The Medical University of Graz was spun off from the University of Graz in 2004 and thus is a relatively young, independent university. Human resources development was introduced as a topic in 2007 and since then has been promoted consistently. To agree to undergo an internationally comparable procedure of analysis as part of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) process was a challenging and courageous step that revealed not just strengths but – because of the short time since its establishment – fields of action. We want to address these points transparently in order to document professionalism and development with regard to quality and innovation in all our areas of work.
