Compulsory Module XVII - Imaging and Biostatistics is held in this form since 2017/18. According to the new curriculum, it is offered as part of the 4th academic year.

Course materials can be found in the Virtual Medical Campus (VMC), the data for the seminars in Biostatistics are published on this website. The examinations will be in written form and consist of multiple choice questions.

  • Exchange Program for students of the Doctoral Program for Medical Sciences. For advanced students of the Diploma Program for Medicine there is available a 12-month scholarship per academic year for studies at the medical faculty of the Masaryk University.

SE Statistics (STAT)

In this course, the contents of the bachelor's degree course (descriptive statistics) are first repeated and deepened. Students get to know the SPSS program package for statistical data analysis and its application. Basic concepts of inductive statistics (estimation and testing) are explained, point and interval estimators, test distributions and selected test procedures are covered. (P. Ofner-Kopeinig)

  • Statistics and SPSS (Andrea Berghold, Petra Ofner-Kopeinig, Regina Riedl)
    Content: In this course we outline the usage of SPSS (data input and import, data operations) as well as performing and understanding statistical analysis.
    • Courses are offered on request.
    • Courses for a group of participants (6 to 10 persons): are offered on request.
