You may begin planning your final comprehensive oral examination after submitting your dissertation to the Examination Department.

The examination Senate is to be appointed by the Studies Rector. However, proposals can be made by the student. Please be aware that all examiners hold a teaching qualification (venia legendi) or a comparable qualification in the field of the dissertation and do not have any kind of conflict of interest. Please also be aware that two of the three members of the examination senate must be affiliated to a university other than the Medical University of Graz.
In order to register to the final oral examination please fill out the registration form and submit it at least two weeks before the scheduled date of the final oral examination personally or via e-mail.
Please also be aware that only fully completed forms can be accepted.
An Examination Board consisting of three people must be formed to conduct the final comprehensive oral examination. One member shall act as Chairperson of the Examination Board. Please be aware that two of the three members of the examination senate must be affiliated to a university other than the Medical University of Graz.
Please note that in addition to the signature of the respective examiners, the stamp from the respective clinic or institute is also required.
The Chairperson is to sign the form once in their function as an examiner and once in their function as Chairperson.
The Examination Department will obtain the approval of the Studies Rector for the requested Examination Board.
Please note that it is only possible to take the final comprehensive oral examination after the positive assessment of all course examinations as well as the dissertation have been submitted in MEDonline.
