Sascha Obrowsky, PhD started his scientific career with both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Molecular Biology at the TU Graz. He continued by earning his PhD in 2013 in Prof. Dagmar Kratky’s group working on the role of lipases in the small intestine. Since 2013 Sasha Obrowsky is working as a team leader and Quality Assurance Manager at EVER Pharma, Austria. He is responsible for quality issues during the construction of new production plants for sterile pharmaceuticals in Austria and Germany.

Dr. Helmut J. Pelzmann is the LIMS Manager and Head of Department QC at Global LIMS, Graz, Austria. He is involved in various tasks such as leading the department for LIMS implementation, continuous improvement, and routine maintenance of Fresenius Kabi's Global LIMS (LabWare LIMS), data governance strategy, data flow analysis, analytical instrument interfacing, and qualification/validation of computerized systems and analytical instruments.
Helmut Pelzmann received his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical engineering from Graz University of Technology. After his bachelor’s, he was a Teaching Assistant at the Institute of Electrical Measurement and Measurement Signal Processing, Graz University of Technology, for one year and did his MSc. (DI) in Biomedical Engineering (Molecular Bioengineering) under the supervision of Prof. Juliane G. Bogner-Strauss. Under the same supervisor, he subsequently joined the Doctoral School Biomedical Engineering at the Graz University of Technology and the international PhD Program Metabolic and Cardiovascular Disease where he investigated adipose tissue and metabolic diseases.
After his PhD, he joined Fresenius Kabi Austria GmbH in Graz, Austria, as a Project Manager QC and after a year he was appointed as the company's LIMS Manager/Head of Department QC - Global LIMS, Quality Control, where he is currently working.

Joachim Seipelt


Dr. Joachim Seipelt received a master’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Vienna, as well as his PhD while working at the Department of Cell Biology as a doctoral research fellow. Shortly after graduating, Dr. Seipelt resumed working in science as a Post Doc at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, University of Vienna, where he also was assistant professor. After a very productive decade, he established his own research group in Virology at the Max Perutz Labs, Vienna, where he gained valuable experience, among other things, in fundraising, management, and administration. The skills, which he acquired while working there, motivated Dr. Seipelt to co-found the biotech company AVIR Green Hills Biotechnology AG that develops vaccines and therapies against infectious diseases, where he acted as a Vice President for Cooperation and Chief Operations Officer. After a successful decade the company was sold and subsequently, Joachim Seipelt settled again as an independent group leader at the Max Perutz Labs and later headed three departments at an Austrian funding bank, Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH. Currently, he holds a manager positions in two different companies, namely Nuvonis and BlueSky Immunotherapies, where he contributes his wide experience in biotech industry and funding organisations.
