Office of the Vice Rector for Clinical Affairs, Innovation and Sustainability

The Office of the Vice Rector of Clinical Affairs, Innovation and Sustainability is the direct interface between the departments and Med Uni Graz with information and services specifically for Med Uni Graz clinical staff.

The Vice Rector is responsible for all areas regarding cooperation with KAGes and directly represents Med Uni Graz on the hospital management board along with the Rector.

Examples of clinical affairs:

  • Further development of joint processes with KAGes
  • Teaching responsibilities and research opportunities for Med Uni Graz clinical staff
  • Infrastructure for research and teaching as part of hospital construction projects (LKH 2020/2030)
  • Goal agreements with departments and divisions

Area Innovation

The objective of “innovation through cooperation” is reflected in the Innovation Team, which includes representatives from all areas of the university who are involved in internal processes and the further development of innovation processes at Med Uni Graz. In addition, there is a focus on establishing the “medical Science city Graz” (mSc Graz) brand and expanding joint activities with the cooperation partners of the “mSc Graz Network.”

Area Sustainability

The Sustainability Team and the Sustainability Advisory Board consist of scientists from clinical and non-clinical fields, administrators, representatives of the hospital operator, and students. As an operational committee, the team develops sustainability projects, measures, and initiatives, which are supplemented by the advisory board as a consultative body. Above all, the advisory board deals with communication and the participatory translation of projects into practical implementation.
