Ethical Aspects of Human-Participant Research Data Collection and Management

Webinar introducing the "Ethiktool" software. A tool supporting reasearchers in composing ethics applications for research involving human participants.

The collection, use, and reuse of data from human participants requires their informed consent and compliance with other principles of research ethics. In many institutions, studies involving human participants must be reviewed by an ethics committee.

The project team, consisting of members from Chemnitz University of Technology, the Leibniz Institute for Psychology, and Bielefeld University, has developed the open-source software Ethiktool, which researchers can use to create an ethics application with all the information and consent forms for their participants, including an EU GDPR-compliant privacy policy.

This webinar will introduce the Ethiktool software and discuss how it promotes synergies between research ethics and research data management.

This presentation will be held online in English.
