TEDxMedUniGraz 2025: „Tomorrow Starts Now“

On 28 October 2025, the auditorium of Med Uni Graz will be transformed into a place full of visions and inspiration when TEDxMedUniGraz opens its doors under the motto ‘Tomorrow Starts Now – Perspectives To Shape The Future’. This year's event will ask how we can shape the world of tomorrow today through thought, action and dialogue.

Participants will include high-profile figures such as Andrea Kurz, Rector of the Medical University of Graz and internationally renowned anaesthesiologist and clinical researcher, and Caroline Schober, molecular biologist and former Vice Rector for Research & International Affairs at the Medical University of Graz, who will contribute their experiences and ideas on topics such as global drug shortages, the pharmaceutical circular economy and sustainable medical technologies.

The programme covers a wide range of topics relevant to the future – from medical and biotechnological innovations to the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive analytics in healthcare, as well as issues of media literacy, digital identity and the responsible use of algorithms. Methods such as foresight, scenario analysis and strategic planning will also be examined in order to identify new ways to ensure a livable future.

Over the past few years, TEDxMedUniGraz has established itself as a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and creative ideas. More than 40 talks with a combined total of over half a million online views testify to the great interest in and impact of the event. Feedback from the community highlights not only the thematic diversity, but also the professional implementation in the style of international TED conferences.

Anyone who wants to be inspired by innovative approaches, experience exciting ideas from science, medicine and futurology, and network with committed people should mark 28 October 2025 in their calendars now. Because at TEDxMedUniGraz, this year more than ever, our future begins today. Tickets can be obtained free of charge from the TEDxMedUniGraz website starting on 18 August.
