The main purpose of an ELN–electronic lab notebook–is clear: taking notes, data storage, organisation. But what about the details that come later once the digital solution has been fully integrated into your workflow?
It can be a challenge to figure out exactly what your lab needs if you’ve never used an ELN. And there is more than one solution available for all that. What are the benefits and the disadvantages of the different solutions and how do they work? This webinar gives an overview and also insights of a specific solution. To get an idea of the work with an ELN a demo with eLabFTW will be shown.

Alexander Gruber, TU Graz. Alexander Gruber is a data steward at TU Graz and manages the electronic lab book solution eLabFTW. He assists researchers with its use and offers support on a wide range of issues.
Jakob Harden, TU Graz. Jakob Harden is a PhD student at the Institute of Materials Testing and Building Materials Technology and is developing a pilot project for a database-based, platform-independent laboratory data management system together with the Institute of Biomechanics as part of the RDM Marketplace at TU Graz.
