The Medical University of Graz welcomed a high-level delegation from Pristina for talks on further expanding existing cooperation in surgical training. The visitors included Arben Hajrullahu, Rector of the University of Pristina, and Rifat Latifi, former Minister of Health of Kosovo.
On behalf of the Medical University of Graz, the guests were welcomed by Rector Andrea Kurz, Lars-Peter Kamolz, Head of the Department of Surgery, and Lumnije Kqiku-Biblekaj from the Department of Dental Medicine and Oral Health.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the existing Letter of Intent (LOI) and the planned support for the further development of the Kosova College of Surgeons (KCS) in Pristina, which was founded in 2018. The cooperation involves a partnership-based collaboration in training, structural development and research.
Plans include joint training initiatives, cooperation projects, knowledge transfer and, more generally, close collaboration. The aim is the sustainable development of modern surgical training and research structures in Kosovo.
During the meeting, the next steps and a joint action plan to further strengthen the partnership were agreed.
