Successful Erasmus+ funding application for global mobility

In February 2025, the International Office at Medical University of Graz submitted its sixth application for the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (KA171) program and was once again successful: Funding in the amount of EUR 326,063.00 was approved for the project running from August 2025 to July 2028 for incoming and outgoing student and staff mobility and its administration.
 

Erasmus+ KA171 is a European Union mobility program that promotes student mobility for studies and traineeships, as well as teaching and training stays for university staff at partner institutions worldwide. In the new project (2025-2028), individual mobility activities between the Medical University of Graz and the following partner institutions is possible:
 

  • Australia: University of Queensland
  • Brazil: Universidade Estadual Paulista
  • Chile: UC Chile
  • Chile: Universidad de Valparaíso
  • Cuba: Universidad de Ciencas Médicas de la Habana
  • Dominican Republic: Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo
  • Mexico: Universidad de Monterrey
  • Namibia: University of Namibia
  • Nepal: Kathmandu University
  • South Africa: University of Cape Town
  • South Africa: University of KwaZulu-Natal
  • South Africa: Stellenbosch University
  • Thailand: Chiang Mai University
  • Uganda: Makerere University
  • Ukraine: Lviv National Medical University

 

The funded opportunities at these universities for Med Uni Graz students enrolled in the diploma program in Medicine or Dentistry, as well as in the master's program in Nursing Science or Interprofessional Health Care Studies, are advertised by the International Office as part of the Clinical Rotations and Research Abroad mobility program. The next call for applications for funded teaching and training stays, for which Med Uni Graz employees (general, scientific, and medical staff) can apply, as well as for funded research traineeships for students in PhD and doctoral programs, will be published by the International Office in fall 2026.
