Responsibilities

The staff of the Rector's Office are responsible for coordinating, supporting, creating and monitoring the following agendas:

  • Overall strategy of the Medical University of Graz
  • Development plan
  • Performance agreement
  • Organizational plan
  • Appointment procedures and appointment negotiations
  • Nomination of heads of academic areas and their deputies
  • Acceptance of submissions of habilitation theses
  • Coordination of the rector's appointments

Appointment management

The appointment procedure is one of the most important processes at Med Uni Graz and its goal is to recruit excellent scientists for Med Uni Graz.

On behalf of the rector, the employees of this staff unit accompany the appointment procedure of professors of the Medical University of Graz. They are responsible for continuous support in appointment procedures, advising and supporting the members of the appointment commission in order to conduct the procedure efficiently, transparently and professionally.
