Mitbelegung

Students who have been admitted to a degree program at another Austrian university and would like to attend individual courses and take examinations at the Medical University of Graz as part of this degree program must register as a co-enrolled student.

Co-enrollment is only possible during the admission period for the respective semester. For the summer semester 2025, this is from January 08 to March 31, 2025 to October 31, 2024. Under no circumstances is admission possible outside this time period.

Co-enrollment is processed exclusively online. It is not necessary to come to the OU Study Management in person.

Please note: If you decide to write your thesis at the Medical University of Graz, please contact the Welcome Center to complete the necessary registration process. Additional co-enrollment is only required if you also plan to attend courses..

First-time admission, reporting back after an an interruption or in the event of a change to the co-enrolled degree program:

Please complete a pre-registration online.

If you have an active MEDonline account (student or staff account), please use this account to access the application "My pre-registrations". If you do not currently have an active MEDonline account, click here to set up a basic MEDonline account for submitting your pre-registration.

As part of the pre-registration process, you will be asked to upload the following documents to the system:

- Declaration of commitment

- Current study record (from the semester for which you are being admitted)

- Student ID card

- Only required if the course you wish to enroll in is also offered at the Medical University of Graz: Confirmation from your "home university" that the courses/examinations you wish to take at the Medical University of Graz are not offered at your university.

Instructions for the pre-registration can be found here (currently only available in German).

Once your complete pre-registration has been received, your co-enrollment will be processed by the OU Study Management. You will receive an email notification as soon as your co-enrollment has been completed. This notification will also contain a pin code for your MEDonline student account.

Please note that it may take up to three working days to process your pre-registration.

Reporting back without interruption

Your co-enrollment at the Medical University of Graz is generally valid for one semester. If you also need the co-enrollment for further semesters, you must actively re-register as a co-enrolled student for each semester in which you wish to co-enroll.

You can only report back for co-enrollment during the deadline for registering for the continuation of studies. For the summer semester 2025, this is from January 8 to March 31, 2025. It is not possible to report back outside this period.

Please send the current study record of your university (of the semester for which you are reporting back for co-enrollment) with the request for the renewal of your co-enrollment from your student email address by email to studium(at)medunigraz.at.

If you do not re-register on time, the co-enrollment expires automatically at the end of the deadline for registering for the continuation of studies. The student account at Med Uni Graz (MEDonline, Webmail etc...) also expires when the co-enrollment expires!

A co-enrollment always requires a valid admission for the respective study program at your "home university". Therefore, if your admission to the degree program at your "home university" expires (e.g. by completing the degree program), your co-enrollment at Med Uni Graz will automatically expire as well.
