For European Citizens

Regular students who do not exceed the prescribed period of study for a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, Doctoral degree or a stage of study of a degree program by more than two semesters will not be required to pay any tuition fees. These students will be required to pay the student union fee of € 20,70.

Regular students who exceed the prescribed study time by more than two semesters will be required to pay a tuition fee for the Winter Semester 2021/22. The tuition fee (€ 363,36) and the student union fee (€ 20,70) make up a total of  € 384,06 in prescribed fees.
A penalty of 10% of the tuition fee shall apply for late payments.

It is also possible to apply for a waiver of the tuition fees. Information about the grounds for a waiver of the tuition fees can be found here.

For Non-European-Citizens

In order to apply for an equalization of the tuition fees equivalent to those of Austrian citizens for the Winter Semester 2021/22, it is necessary to present a valid residence permit (such as a “Aufenthaltsbewilligung-Forscher“, “Aufenthaltsbewilligung-Sonderfälle unselbständiger Erwerbstätigkeit“, „Rot-Weiss-Rot-Karte“) in person at the Division of Studies.

A student residence permit (Aufenthaltsbewilligung-Studierender) is not eligible for equalization.

Therefore you are required to pay € 747,42 as study fees for the Winter Semester 2021/22.
There is no penalty of 10% of the tuition fee for late payments.

In case of an equalization of the tuition fees, the following rules apply:

For extraordinary students

Extraordinary students that are admitted to single courses or to nostrifications have to pay – independent from their citizenship – a tuition fee to the amount of Euro 384,06. (fee Euro 363,56) and the contribution to the body of representatives (Euro 20,70) - that amounts to Euro 384,06 althogether.
