We provide comprehensive expertise in NMR-based metabolomics, structural biology, and molecular medicine, covering the entire workflow from sample preparation to data interpretation. Our interdisciplinary team integrates advanced NMR methodologies with biochemical, biophysical, and computational approaches to address fundamental and translational research questions.

We have established robust targeted and untargeted NMR-based metabolomics platforms for a wide range of biological systems, including cell-based assays, model organisms, human tissues, and clinical samples. Our workflows include standardized IVDr protocols for high-throughput and reproducible analysis of human biofluids (e.g., serum, plasma, urine), enabling the quantitative characterization of metabolic profiles and clinically relevant biomarkers.

Our expertise encompasses for example

  • NMR-based metabolomics of biofluids, tissues, stool, cell cultures, microbiome samples, plant extracts, drug substances, and environmental samples (e.g., wastewater)

Beyond metabolomics, we apply NMR to structural biology, focusing on the structure and dynamics of biomolecules and biomolecular complexes. This includes the investigation of post-translational modifications, such as global quantification of protein arginine methylation, and their impact on protein function and regulation.

In addition, we lead and support drug discovery and pharmaceutical research, including the characterization of protein-ligand interactions, elucidation of mechanisms of action, and quality control of drug substances.
