The goal of ELiD is to promote interdisciplinary and translational collaboration and research in the field of reproduction and early development. Specifically, we are interested in how maternal lifestyle, infections and non-communicable diseases affect pregnancy and further development of the child. Understanding these processes is important in order to be able to implement sustainable health-promoting and preventive measures.
Presentations on the following topics are planned:
- New concepts for observational studies in pregnancy
- Disruption of maternal and fetal endothelial function due to pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes
- Current research projects and issues in reproductive medicine
